देश की सबसे बड़ी बीमा कंपनी एलआईसी अपनी जीवन आनंद समेत कई बेहतरीन रिटर्न देने वाली दो दर्जन से अधिक पॉलिसी 30 नवंबर से बंद करने जा रही है। जिन पॉलिसी को बंद किया जा रहा है उनमें जीवन आनंद, जीवन उमंग, जीवन लक्ष्य और जीवन लाभ भी शामिल है।

आईबीटाइम्स की खबर के अनुसार बीमा क्षेत्र से जुड़े जानकारों का कहना है कि एलआईसी के नए पेश किए जाने वाले प्लांस में बोनस रेट पहले की तुलना में कम होगा जबकि प्रीमियम की राशि में बढ़ोतरी हो सकती है। इंश्योरेंस रेगुलेटरी और डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (आईआरडीएआई) अधिकारी ने कहा कि पूरे बीमा क्षेत्र में करीब 75-80 फीसदी बीमा प्रोडक्ट नए नॉन लिंक और लिंक्ड इंश्योरेंस रेगुलेशन का पालन नहीं कर रहे हैं।
दूसरी तरफ सूत्रों का कहना बाजार में कई ऐसे इंश्योरेंस प्लान मौजूद है जो मौजूदा नियामकों का पालन करते हैं और इनकी बिक्री जारी रहेगी। एलआईसी के इस कदम से बाजार में किसी भी तरह से उथलपुथल होने की आशंका नहीं है। कुछ प्रोडक्ट के मामले में बीमा प्रीमियम कम होने की बात भी कही जा रही है।
खबर के अनुसार एलआईसी पूर्व कार्यकारी निदेशक और मौजूदा चेयरमैन एमआर कुमार ने बताया कि हम अपने कुछ प्रोडक्ट्स को जल्द बंद कर रहे हैं और इन्हें नए नियमों के अनुसार संशोधित कर रहे हैं। इन प्रोडक्ट्स को आने वाले दिनों में लॉन्च किया जाएगा। ऐसे में एलआईसी एजेंट्स मौजूदा प्रोडक्ट्स को बेचने के लिए एड़ी चोटी का जोर लगा रहे हैं।
वे लोगों को 30 नवंबर से पहले प्लान लेने की सलाह दे रहे हैं। बता दें जीवन लाभ एन्डावमेंट प्लान है जबकि जीवन आनंद, जीवन उमंग एन्डावमेंट और होल लाइफ प्लान है।
