देश का कोई भी नागरिक 26 नवम्बर 2008 को मुंबई में हुए आतंकी हमलों को नहीं भूल सकता. ये वो तारीख थी जब पूरा देश आतंकी हमले की वजह से सहम गया था. आतंकियों ने मुंबई शहर को दहला दिया. हर तरफ दहशत और मौत दिखाई दे रही थी. इस दौरान सीरियल बलास्ट और गोलीबारी में 137 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी जबकि लगभग 300 लोग घायल हो गए थे. आज उस हमले को भले ही सात साल बीत गए हों लेकिन उस हमले की याद आज भी भारतीयों को डरा देती है.
इतने बड़े हमले का अंदाजा नहीं था
26 नवंबर 2008 की शाम मुंबई अपने शबाब पर थी. हर शाम की तरह ये शाम भी गुलजार होने जा रही थी कि अचानक शहर के एक हिस्से में गोलियां चलने लगी. आतंकियों ने कहर बरपाना शुरु कर दिया था. जिसकी शुरुआत लियोपोल्ड कैफे और छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनस (सीएसटी) से हुई थी. पहले पहल तो किसी को भी यह अंदाजा नहीं था कि यह हमला इतना बड़ा हो सकता है. लेकिन धीरे धीरे मुंबई के और इलाकों से धमाकों और गोलीबारी की खबरें आने लगी थीं. आधी रात होते होते मुंबई शहर की फिजाओं में आतंक का असर नज़र आने लगा था.
मुंबई टर्मिनस पर मारे गए थे सबसे ज्यादा लोग
आतंक का तांडव मुंबई के सबसे व्यस्ततम रेलवे स्टेशन छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनस पर शुरु हुआ था. यहां मौजूद किसी यात्री को इस बात अंदाजा नहीं था कि स्टेशन पर आतंक का खूनी खेल होने वाला है. वहां बड़ी संख्या में यात्री मौजूद थे. दो आतंकियों ने वहां पहुंचकर अंधाधुंध फायरिंग की थी और हैंड ग्रेनेड भी फेंके थे. जिसकी वजह से 58 बेगुनाह यात्री मौत की आगोश में समा गए थे. जबकि कई लोग गोली लगने और भगदड़ में गिर जाने की वजह से घायल हो गए थे. इस हमले को अजमल आमिर कसाब और इस्माइल खान नाम के आतंकियों ने अंजाम दिया था.
शुरु में नहीं था आतंकियों की संख्या का अंदाजा
छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनस स्टेशन के अलावा आतंकियों ने ताज होटल, होटल ओबेरॉय, लियोपोल्ड कैफ़े, कामा अस्पताल और दक्षिण मुंबई के कई स्थानों पर हमले शुरु कर दिया था. आधी रात होते होते मुंबई के कई इलाकों में हमले हो रहे थे. शहर में चार जगहों पर मुठभेड़ चल रही थी. पुलिस के अलावा अर्धसैनिक बल भी मैदान में डट गए थे. एक साथ इतनी जगहों पर हमले ने सबको चौंका दिया था. इसकी वजह से आतंकियों की संख्या की अंदाजा लगाना मुश्किल हो रहा था.
ताज होटल में चली थी सबसे लंबी मुठभेड़
26 नवंबर की रात में ही आतंकियों ने अपना रुख पूरी तरह से ताज होटल की तरफ कर दिया था. यहां आतंकियों ने कई मेहमानों को बंधक बना लिया था, जिनमें सात विदेशी नागरिक भी शामिल थे. ताज होटल के हेरीटेज विंग में आग लगा दी गई थी. 27 नवंबर की सुबह एनएसजी के कमांडो आतंकवादियों का सामना करने पहुंच चुके थे. सबसे पहले होटल ओबेरॉय में बंधकों को मुक्त कराकर ऑपरेशन 28 नवंबर की दोपहर को खत्म हुआ था, और उसी दिन शाम तक नरीमन हाउस के आतंकवादी भी मारे गए थे. लेकिन होटल ताज के ऑपरेशन को अंजाम तक पहुंचाने में 29 नवंबर की सुबह तक का वक्त लग गया था.
ताड़देव इलाके से पकड़ा गया था आतंकी कसाब
मुंबई के छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनस में खून की होली खेलने वाला आतंकी अजमल आमिर कसाब मुठभेड़ के बाद ताड़देव इलाके से जिंदा पकड़ा गया था. वह बुरी तरह घायल था. बाद में उसने पाकिस्तान की आतंकी साजिश की पोल खोलकर रख दी थी. उसी ने मार गए अपने साथियों के नामों का खुलासा किया था. बाद में कसाब पर मुकदमा चला और फिर उसे सजा-ए-मौत दी गई.
हमले में शामिल थे दस आतंकवादी
मुंबई हमले की रणनीति और आक्रमकता देखकर लग रहा था कि इस हमले में कई आतंकी शामिल हो सकते हैं. लेकिन हमला खत्म हो जाने और कसाब के पकड़े जाने के बाद साफ हो गया था कि इस काम को अंजाम देने के लिए दस आतंकवादियों को तैयार किया गया था. उन्हें पाकिस्तान की सरजमी पर आतंक की ट्रेनिंग दी गई थी. उसके बाद वे आतंकी 26 नवंबर को एक बोट से समुंद्र के रास्ते भारत में दाखिल हुए थे. पुलिस ने जली हुई बोट को भी बरामद कर लिया था.
आतंकियों ने अगवा की थी पुलिस वैन
मुंबई हमले में आतंकवादियों ने एक पुलिस वैन को अगवा कर लिया था. वे उस वैन में घूमते हुए सड़कों पर गोलियां बरसा रहे थे. इसी दौरान एक टीवी चैनल के केमरामैन के हाथ में आतंकियों की गोली लगी थी. बाद में आतंकी वैन लेकर कामा अस्पताल में घुस गए थे. वहीं मुठभेड़ के दौरान एटीएस के चीफ हेमंत करकरे, एसआई अशोक काम्टे और विजय सालस्कर शहीद हो गए थे.
मुंबई पुलिस के साथ थे एनएसजी और सेना के कमांडो
देश की आर्थिक राजधानी मुंबई में आतंकियों के इस हमले को नाकाम करने के लिए दो सौ एनएसजी कमांडो और सेना के पचास कमांडो को मुंबई भेजा गया था. इसके अलावा सेना की पांच टुकड़ियों को भी वहां तैनात किया गया था. हमले के दौरान नौसेना को भी अलर्ट पर रखा गया था.
हमले में शहीद हुए थे पुलिस और एनएसजी के 11 लोग
मुंबई के आतंकी हमले को नाकाम करने के अभियान में मुंबई पुलिस, एटीएस और एनएसजी के 11 लोग वीरगति को प्राप्त हो गए थे. इनमें एटीएस के प्रमुख हेमंत करकरे, एसीपी अशोक कामटे, एसीपी सदानंद दाते, एनएसजी के कमांडो मेजर संदीप उन्नीकृष्णन, एनकाउंटर स्पेशलिस्ट एसआई विजय सालस्कर, इंसपेक्टर सुशांत शिंदे, एसआई प्रकाश मोरे, एसआई दुदगुड़े, एएसआई नानासाहब भोंसले, एएसआई तुकाराम ओंबले, कांस्टेबल विजय खांडेकर, जयवंत पाटिल, योगेश पाटिल, अंबादोस पवार और एम.सी. चौधरी शामिल थे.
11 जगहों पर हुई थी आतंकियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई
मुंबई शहर को आतंकियों ने हिलाकर रख दिया था. उन्होंने हर तरफ कोहराम मचाया था. शहर के हर हिस्से में दहशत और मौत का खौफ साफ देखा जा सकता था. आतंकियों के खिलाफ मुंबई में 11 जगहों पर पुलिस और सुरक्षा बलों ने कार्रवाई की थी. जानिए कहां, क्या हुआ था.
