अगर आपकी बेटी हॉस्टल में पढ़ती है या आप उसे हॉस्टल में पढ़ाने के बारे में सोच रहे हैं तो यह खबर आपके लिए बहुत ही उपयोगी साबित होगी। हाल ही में हॉस्टल में पढ़ाई कर रही लड़कियों पर हुए एक सर्वे को लेकर चौंकाने वाला खुलासा हुआ है।
सर्वे के अनुसार, हॉस्टल में रह रही कई लड़कियां बुरी आदतों का शिकार हो रही हैं। ग्लोबल एडल्ट्स टोबैको सर्वे में आए आंकड़ों के मुताबिक दिल्ली में महिला स्मोकर्स की तादात बढ़ी है इनमें से ज्यादातर लड़कियां कॉलेज में पढऩे वाली है जो हॉस्टल में रहती है। सर्वे के अनुसार दिल्ली की कुछ लड़कियों से पूछा गया कि उन्होंने पहली बार सिगरेट कब पी थी तो जवाब मिला कि स्कूल में ही शुरूआत हुई थी और कॉलेज पहुंचते-पहुंचते वो नियमित आदत बन गई।
लड़कियों ने ये भी बताया कि कॉलेज में प्रोफेसरों को देखकर, क्रिएटिव डिस्कशन में भाग लेते हुए और नारीवाद और नारी सशक्तिकरण जैसी बातें सुनने के बाद भी कई लड़कियों ने सिगरेट पीने जैसी गंदी लतों की आदत डाल ली। इस सर्वे में लड़कियों से बात करके पता चला कि कॉलेज में सिगरेट पीना स्कूल के मुकाबले ज्यादा आसान है।
रामजस कॉलेज की एक छात्रा कहती है कि उसने पहली बार स्कूल में सिगरेट पी थी। कॉलेज में आने के बाद ऐसा नहीं होता। तब केवल अपने माता-पिता से डर होता है बाकी किसी और को कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि आप क्या कर रहे हैं। बल्कि प्रोफेसर तो देखकर कभी-कभी आपसे ही मांग लेते हैं सिगरेट। वो कहती है कि कॉलेज के पहले साल से उसने अच्छे से सिगरेट पीना शुरू किया और दूसरे साल से तो उसे लत ही लग गई है।
सिगरेट पीने की लत लड़कियों को कॉलेजों की विभिन्न सोसाइटी बैठकों से भी लगती है। ऐसा हिंदू कॉलेज की एक छात्रा कहती है कि ड्रामा सोसाइटी व डिबेटिंग सोसाइटी की बैठकों में सभी लोग स्मोक करते हैं। मिरांडा हाउस की स्टूडेंट नितिका कहती है कि जैसे झोला और कुर्ता यूनिवर्सिटी के वामपंथी विचारधारा के छात्रों का अनकहा ड्रेस कोड है, वैसे ही सिगरेट पीना लिंग सशक्तिकरण का प्रतीक माना जाता है।
