केंद्रीय संस्कृति मंत्री और नोएडा से सांसद महेश शर्मा ने सोमवार को लोकसभा में कहा कि सरकार को ताजमहल के एक हिंदू मंदिर था इसका कोई सबूत नहीं मिला है। इस मसले पर आगरा कोर्ट में याचिका दायर की गई थी।
इस याचिका ने कहा गया था कि ताजमहल को हिंदू मंदिर घोषित कर देना चाहिए और इसमें हिंदूओं को भी पूजा करने की अनुमति मिलनी चाहिए। संस्कृति मंत्री ने कहा कि उन्हें इस याचिका के बारे में जानकारी है और ताजमहल के हिंदू मंदिर होने के बारे में सरकार को कोई साक्ष्य नहीं मिला है। संस्कृति मंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि इस विवाद की वजह से फिलहाल ताजमहल आने वाले सैलानियों की संख्या में कोई कमी नहीं हुई और न ही टूरिजम पर बुरा असर पड़ा है।
उन्होंने देश में बढ़ती असहिष्णुता के मसले पर लेखकों और कलाकारों द्वारा अवॉर्ड लौटाए जाने से संबंधित सवालों के जवाब भी दिए। शर्मा ने कहा, साहित्य अकादमी ने कार्यकारिणी बोर्ड की एक विशेष बैठक बुलाई जिसमें एक प्रस्ताव पारित कर किसी भी लेखक या कलाकार पर हमला किए जाने या उनकी हत्या किए जाने की निंदा की और अवॉर्ड लौटा चुके लेखकों से अपने फैसले पर पुनर्विचार करने का आग्रह भी किया। महेश शर्मा द्वारा लोकसभा में दी गई जानकारी के मुताबिक, अब तक 39 लेखकों ने अपने अवॉर्ड साहित्य अकादमी को लौटा दिए हैं, जबकि एक कलाकार ने अपना अवॉर्ड ललित कला अकादमी को लौटाया है।
