राष्ट्रीय आय किसी देश की ओर से एक साल में उत्पादित सभी वस्तुओं और सेवाओं की कीमत (प्राप्ती) होती है। जितनी ज्यादा राष्ट्रीय आय होगी उसी अनुसार किसी भी अर्थव्यवस्था या देश का विकास आगे बढ़ता है। राष्ट्रीय आय के आंकड़ों से यह जाना जा सकता है कि किसी देश का विकास कितनी तेजी बढ़ रहा है।
प्रति व्यक्ति आय
प्रति व्यक्ति आय का अर्थ सीधे तौर पर किसी व्यक्ति की आय से लगाया जाता है। यह वह जरिए है जिसके जरिए किसी देश में प्रति व्यक्ति की आय का पता लगाया जाता है। इससे रहन-सहन और लोगों की व्यक्तिगत आर्थिक स्थिति का अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है। प्रति व्यक्ति आय का पता देश की आमदनी में कुल आबादी को भाग देकर प्रति व्यक्ति आय निकाली जाती है।
प्रति व्यक्ति आय वह पैमाना है जिसके जरिए यह पता चलता है कि किसी क्षेत्र में प्रति व्यक्ति की कमाई कितनी है। इससे किसी शहर, क्षेत्र या देश में रहने वाले लोगों के रहन-सहन का स्तर और जीवन की गुणवत्ता का पता चलता है। देश की आमदनी में कुल आबादी को भाग देकर प्रति व्यक्ति आय निकाली जाती है।
